You are currently in the Ulterius Region. Ulterius is a community primarily based on battling, with the goal being induction into the Hall of Immortality by training a team of Pokemon into a unit cohesive and strong enough to defeat the eight gyms, four Elite trainers, The Ulterius Champion, and any other trainer that happens to challenge you. The Gym Leaders and Elite Trainers of Ulterius are among the strongest in the world, so the ill-prepared are sure to fail. Do you have what it takes to have your name written in the songs of legend? Come and give us what you've got.

Alright guys, the time has come to finally open up the site, even though it isn't finished. There is enough of the sites finished for members to reach the eighth gym, which will be more than enough time for us to finish the rest of the site. There may be some parts of the boards that are crude, as in the Pokemon Marts and the Gyms, but we can still work with it. So I say we go out and start advertising, and try to get some members in here so we can get this place going.
Also, as it stands right now, if we can get this forum up to 100 active members, I will buy us a premium cbox! So go get 'em!

The Office The Office is where the staff members of Ulterius bounce ideas amongst each other, hold meetings, and discuss site affairs. The Administrator and Global Moderator's have their own board for specialized discussions.

Laws of the Region In this board you can find the rules, regulations, and procedures of the Ulterius Region. It is requested that you read all of the threads in this board before creating your character, otherwise it will be clear that you didn't. Everything is put into the simplest terms so that you can understand everything, but if you still don't get it please PM an Administrator or Global Moderator.
Citizens of Ulterius This is where you create your character, using the provided form, of course. You must wait for your character to be accepted before beginning to role-play; however, only Admins and G-Mods are allowed to accept characters, regular Mods are not. Please do not post at the lab until you're character has been approved; once you've been accepted then you can begin your Pokemon journey.

Ulterius Region
Ulterius Laboratory The Ulterius Pokemon Laboratory. Aspiring trainers come here to receive their Starter Pokemon. However, since Ulterius is for only the most advanced trainers, you should already know that. The building itself is quite typical of a laboratory; a large, iron building covered in glass and solar panels. Not much else can be seen from outside, you'll just have to go in and see for yourself. Just be careful, some of the assistants can be quite interesting, but there's a good chance you'll come out with all limbs in tact.
Route One Before you lies a vast expanse of prairie, stretching onwards as far as the eye can see. The only landmark lies on the horizon, you can barely see the roofs of the houses in the next town. This also tells you just how flat the land is, as well. There are no trees to be seen, and hence there are very few hiding places for Pokemon. To get through Route One is quite simple, just keep walking forward until the plains end.

Nasquam Village After you pass through Route One you come to this small village, which is only a mere speck on any map. Nasquam Village is only a small resting place for trainers, it has a Pokemon Center, and a PokeMart but it lacks a gym. However, it's a a nice, traditional town with friendly citizens and a good place to meet traveling companions as you continue on your way. Also, for a small fee, the Elder of the village will be able to hatch your Pokemon eggs at the Hatchery.

Route Two The prairie lands at last give way to several copses of trees, which start out small at first but grow bigger as you continue onwards. There is a clear path marked through Route Two, almost making it easier to cross than Route One, but don't be fooled. The Pokemon here are stronger and far more clever than the ones you first met.

Ostendo Town Coming out of the prairie land of Ulterius and into a more forested landscape, you come across a town filled with birdlife and other forest creatures. Within this town you will find your first obstacle on your way to fame and fortune, the Ostendo Town Pokemon Gym, lead by Ayla; a young native of Ostendo. Also, an Aviary can be found in which trainers can train for the gym, which holds a motley assortment of Flying, Bug, and Normal type Pokemon. Along with the Aviary and Pokemon Gym, a Pokemon Center and Poke-mart can also be found.

Route Three After successfully defeating Ayla at the Ostendo Town Pokemon Gym, your next task is to traverse the Forest geography of Route Three. The forestry is dense, and the Pokemon start to develop a certain primeval instinct about them, and are even more powerful than those found in the last route. If you can manage to survive the wild Pokemon of Route Three, you will find yourself entering the Hot and humid terrain of Aduro.

Aduro City As you enter Aduro City, you see a Hot Springs resort-like city, filled with people clad in Bikinis, Speedos, and assorted other forms of summer/swim wear. Though it is only hot and humid in Aduro, if you look past the city, you see a desert. Here in Aduro your task is to defeat Roxy, the leader of the Aduro City Pokemon Gym. If you defeat her, then you will be granted access to Route Four. Also located within the gates of Aduro City is "The Springs", a hot-springs spa and health center for People and Pokemon alike.

Route Four A barren desert wasteland located between the grassy and flower-filled Viridis City and the hot and humid Aduro City, the ground and fire type Pokemon of the area are vicious creatures. It is very rare to see a grass type or water type here, aside from the occasional Cacnea and Cacturne; but if you do happen to stumble across one, it will not be very happy, being out of it's comfort zone. Stay on your toes, and make sure you bring plenty of water with you, because there is no water in Route Four.

Viridis City As you start to exit the desert, you see the vegetation in the region start to reappear. Once entering Viridis, you will notice patches upon patches of flowers. Viridis City, highly known for it's wide variety of flowers, berries, and other forms of plant-life, is also known for two other things: The Viridis Pokemon Reserve, where if you pay a fee, you can possibly catch some rarely seen Pokemon; and The Viridis Pokemon Gym, where Rolph awaits your challenge. After earning Rolph's respect by besting him in battle, your next task is to hike the rugged mountainous Route Five to Tumulus City, the capital city of Ulterius.

Route Five If you can best Rolph, leader of the Viridis City Pokemon Gym, your next task shall be hiking up the mountainous terrain that the capital city of Tumulus is built upon. But be warned: the path isn't so easily traversed. Rockslides have been plaguing the route as of late, for reasons unknown, and many a trainer has perished in the brute strength of Mother Nature's wrath. Will you be one of the lucky few that make it to Tumulus before meeting a premature demise? Only your skills as a trainer, and the teamwork of you and your Pokemon, can answer that question.

Tumulus City Tumulus City is a place of much activity among trainers, as there is a lot to do here. Ranging from the department store where you can buy TMs, Hold Items, Vitamins, Collectibles, and other helpful items; to the UTS - or Ulterius Trainer's Association, where trainers can come to trade, as well as a lounge for trainers to relax in; and the ever-popular job classifieds where your character can look up available jobs. Tumulus is also home to the fourth gym, where rock and ground Pokemon thrive.

Route Six After your tenure in Tumulus City, your next task on your way to the Ulterius Elite Four is to scale down the mountainous terrain known as Route Six. Much like on Route Five, this route is prone to frequent rock slides. Fighting type Pokemon and Rock type Pokemon are a dime a dozen here, so be wary during your travels. If you're in a hurry, however, old man O'Melly runs the Hang-Gliding Service that can get you quickly to Fulcio; however, to all good things, come a steep price.

Fulcio Town Whether you traversed the mountainous terrain of Route Six, or took the easy, but expensive way out of Tumulus, your next destination and Gym location is Fulcio Town. A mysterious little town at the bottom of the mountain, Vivian's Fighting and Psychic gym lies in the center of the town. Don't be fooled, however, because Vivian isn't your typical lady, and her battle style is quite different than anyone in Ulterius. If your confidence in your Pokemon is lacking, there is a training Dojo here for your Pokemon, though be careful... the more time they spend here, the more the bond between you will dissipate...

Route Seven If your willpower and determination leads your travels past Fulcio and towards Eluvies City, then you must cross the massive Lake Terraril. But not to worry, the generous inhabitants of this area have set up a ferry service for those who do not have a Pokemon that can surf. If you have the ability to surf, however, you may opt to cross that way if you so choose.

Eluvies City A city almost entirely engulfed in water. Rivers and streams flow between the buildings, leaving the only ways to travel between buildings to be bridges suspended from the tops of them, or by rowboats/surfing Pokemon down below. When you are done enjoying the scenery of Eluvies, you can try your luck in the Terraril Fishing Hole. But before you can proceed, you must beat Shui the Water Master in the Eluvies City Gym.

Route Eight Route Eight is a very unique route in Ulterius, as it is a clash of the watery region of Lake Terraril and the cursed territory around Frigus Village. As the name implies, Frigus is a cold and snow covered place, making this clash produce a thick fog that interferes with the vision of humans and Pokemon alike. In battle, evasion and accuracy will be greatly hindered; and outside of battle your PDA and other electronic devices may not work. If you happen to survive this route, you will exit the fog near Frigus Village.

Frigus Village It is said that a Norse Pseudo-God once angered Arceus so greatly that he placed a curse of everlasting snow on this territory known as Frigus, even when the rest of the continent is suffering from scorching heat waves. It hails very frequently here, which may pose a threat to Pokemon of types other than Ice when challenging Freyr, the Frigus Gym Leader. also, on the outskirts of the village, there is a rock that is rumored to give off an unusually cold breeze, cold enough to even be odd for this region...

Route Nine If you plan to depart from Frigus heading to Atrum City, it would be wise to purchase some of Frigus' specially made snow clothing to combat the harsh climate of this route. Sub-zero winds often create snow drifts meters high, and vicious blizzards are common for the first half a day's journey. After that, however, it slowly starts to resemble a swamp. A fetid, toxic swamp. Poison and Dark type Pokemon thrive here, but Water and Grass Pokemon should be kept in their pokeballs to ensure their safety. When it seems as though all color and emotion has left the world, you have arrived in Atrum City, home of the final Pokemon Gym.

Atrum City Years of toxic waste dumping and smog producing factories running wild has turned this once bustling city into an emotionless, dreary, doom-and-gloom place. Void of color and emotion, you feel as though your life force is being sucked away from you every minute you are here. The only safe haven for you and your Pokemon is the Pokemon Center. Notable places for Atrum are the Haunted Tower and the abandoned Nuclear Power Plant that serves as the Gym; where Drogo Mot, a business tycoon who had an unfortunate encounter with a vat of toxic waste, awaits your challenge.

The reason we don't want guests viewing or posting in these boards? Simple: we don't want anything, such as artwork, to get stolen, and we don't want our boards cluttered with spam.
